Saint Tropez

Saint-Tropez is a commune of
the Var departement in southern France, located on the French
Riviera. The fame of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez was established a long time ago: legend says that the name 'Saint Tropez' comes from St. Torpes, a martyr who refused to give up his faith. He was beheaded and his body was thrown into a boat, which drifted into what is now called the Golfe de Saint-Tropez. |
